Masayuki Yui, who directed the following, acted in four of Akira Kurosawa's final films: Kagemusha, Ran, Akira Kurosawa's Dreams, and Madadayo. Here, he uses Kurosawa's storyboards for Ran to reconstruct the director's original vision for the film. Yui portrayed Tango in the film.
