With the help of Hungarian canary breeders Gábor and György, the filmmaker who grew up with these birds tries to recreate the soundscape of her memories from Beirut. Following canary songs between Budapest and Zalakaros, she encounters canaries whose voices have been shaped by their controlled environments. The film becomes a reflection on how identity is composed as much by environment as by intention.
