Director
Mari-Louise Franzén, born 23 March 1963, is from Sweden. She is a Swedish textile antiquarian and museum director, known for her work in textile history, traditional craftsmanship, and cultural heritage preservation. She is the CEO and museum director of K. A. Almgren Silk Weaving Mill & Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. Franzén has worked in the Swedish museum sector, including at the Swedish History Museums (Statens historiska museer), where she specialized in textile collections and held a senior management role. She has also worked with organizations supporting traditional crafts, including the Centre for Swedish Crafts (Konsthantverkscentrum) and Stockholm Crafts Association (Stockholms Hantverksförening). In 2023, Franzén became CEO of Stockholm Crafts Association. On 1 August 2024, she became CEO and museum director of K. A. Almgren Silk Weaving Mill & Museum. Her work focuses on preserving Sweden's textile heritage, supporting traditional silk-weaving techniques, and making historical craftsmanship accessible to the public.
