He studied Painting and Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He worked in various artistic disciplines: ceramics, graphic and textile design, and illustration in Peru and Brazil. He won a Fulbright scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies in painting at the Pratt Institute in New York in 1979, and in 1985, he won first prize in the national animated short film competition with the film "The Profile of the Invisible." He has also worked in artistic jewelry under the brand "ANTILOPE," with more than 200 original designs reproduced in silver. In 1990, he founded the "ANTILOPE" Silver Sculpture Workshop, which researches silver casting techniques to produce limited-edition sculptures based on stylized animal designs of his own creation. He is currently writing the books "20 Peruvian Painters of the 21st Century" and "The Profile of the Invisible," inspired by the film of the same name. From 2006 to the present, he has focused on painting and has exhibited his work in Peru and abroad.
